The first place I would like you to focus for this contemplative practice is your feeling body. As you move forward in your practices, this is the best measure of improvement. How healthy does your body feel? Do you have any illness, tension, or injuries? How does your body feel?
This response will be awarded full points automatically, but it can be reviewed and adjusted after submission.
As you contemplate your senses, it is good to connect with how your sensory experiences affect you. What senses are more likely to agitate you? We are all sensitive to different types of stimuli and are affected by some of them more than others. Are you triggered by sounds, or certain tastes and smells? What triggers you? Do you react more to sight? How do you feel about being touched?
I want to remind you, we’re not here to judge, compare, or trying to change anything. This is a simple act of awareness. With continued practice, you’ll find your sensitivities change over time.
This response will be awarded full points automatically, but it can be reviewed and adjusted after submission.
On the other end of the spectrum, what senses are most soothing to you? Are you inspired by visual stimuli, like light or color? Do soothing sounds or a comforting caress have a faster impact? What about taste or smell? When you smell or eat something delicious, does it change your mood?
Again, we’re only here to observe, but it is good to write down any information that you might use in the future if you are feeling triggered. What senses are most soothing to you?

Regardless of where we begin, we can always improve our relationship with our sensory body. We can shift tension in our muscles instantly or feel illness before it becomes detectable by a doctor. Body awareness is the most powerful tool we can have for physical health and well being.
What is your experience of becoming more aware of yourself at a sensory level? Did you already have a certain level of awareness, or is all of this new to you? How connected do you feel to your body? Do you think you would benefit from building an even deeper connection than the one you already have?
This response will be awarded full points automatically, but it can be reviewed and adjusted after submission.
